The halls of River Valley Baptist Church were buzzing with excitement this past week as incredible numbers turned out for our weekly gatherings! It’s a testament to the powerful things God is doing in our community, and we’re thrilled to share the good news.

Anchored in Faith on Sunday Night
The excitement continued on Sunday with our student ministry, ANCHORED, where a phenomenal 30 students gathered together! They explored the powerful story of Jesus calming the storm on the sea, and the parable of the wise man that built his house upon the rock, learning to find peace and trust in the midst of life’s chaos. And what better way to fuel up for a great discussion than with a West Virginia favorite? Everyone enjoyed delicious homemade pepperoni rolls, chips, and cookies making for a perfect end to a powerful night of worship and learning.

A Great Turnout Wednesday Night!
This Wednesday, our Colossians Bible study session reached a new high with 24 people in attendance! The fellowship was rich, the coffee was brewing, and the pastries were delicious. We dove deep into the book of Colossians 3:20-23, exploring how our relationships at home and our work ethic can honor the Lord. It was a time of genuine connection and spiritual growth, and we are so grateful for everyone who came out to be a part of it. We also had a time of prayer requests, prayer, and discussion concerning our upcoming Homecoming.

Come Back to Church Sunday!
The momentum is building, and we’re seeing exciting things happen at River Valley Baptist Church! As we look ahead to this coming Sunday, we’re especially looking forward to celebrating National “Come Back to Church Sunday.” We would love for you to join us!
This Sunday, our special guest speaker, RVBC Deacon and Evangelist Austin Lilly, will be sharing the message in the absence of our pastor. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit, reconnect, or find a new church home.
